My name is Tony Ross. If you come from around the Scottish Highlands, you may know me from the Highland Literary Salon.
I'm a software developer with over 25 years experience of a multitude of systems spanning smartphone, tablet, desktop and web technologies.
I've built numerous phone/tablet apps (owing to various non-disclosure and data protection issues being in force, I can't provide details of these here), over 100 websites and many web and desktop applications (not to mention the many Content Management Systems and databases I've designed, which drive a lot of these projects).
I "speak" a whole raft of development languages, such as ASP (Classic & ASP.Net), .Net (C# & VB), HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, SQL, MySQL and am well versed in frameworks such as jQuery, NodeJS, Bootstrap, Appcelerator, ExtJS, Sencha Touch and others. I design and create apps for iPhones, iPads, Macs, Android phones and tablets, Windows PCs, Windows Phones and tablets and even write for Blackberry (although just the BB10 and not the wee-keyboarded varieties). I'm also a certified Apple, Android (Google Play), Windows and Blackberry developer.
Cor! Sounds a lot when it's all laid out that way.
In order to build the best product, I need to know which tools you currently use and what your particular likes/dislikes of them are. Is there something you wish they could do, or something they do which needs to be done better?
If we can gather as much detail about this as possible now, then the feature list of the Writerly app is more likely to take account of these things from the beginning. Those things not in at the start, can be reviewed and added later.
